Natural Flea Remedy – Baking Soda

One good way to get rid of fleas inside your home is to use baking soda for fleas, particularly on your carpets.
Take a good amount of baking soda and sprinkle this all over your carpet. Leave it on the carpet for several hours, overnight if possible, and then vacuum in the morning.
You may also use baking soda and salt. Sprinkle baking soda and an equal amount of salt on the carpet and leave both on for a good number of hours. You should step on the carpet to ensure that the baking soda and salt are deeply embedded on it.
Vacuum to take the dead fleas out.
Baking soda and salt work because they dehydrate the fleas until they either die or will be unable to reproduce. Either way, you will be greatly decreasing the number of fleas infesting your home.
Repeating the Process
With any flea treatment, it is unlikely that you will get all of them in one application hence; you usually have to repeat the whole process until you get all of them.
With chemical flea control products, you may be a bit apprehensive about repeating the process since you don’t want your family and pets exposed to chemicals for long periods.
If you use natural treatments, you will not only be using treatment that is safe for the environment but you will also be using treatments that are safe for the entire family and your pets.
With the baking soda treatment, you can repeat the process as many times as you want until you are certain that no fleas are still present in your home.
